2013 Loch Insh Highland Splash-In — 1st/2nd September 2012 — Back to the Highland Splash-In Photos Index Page 2011

This excellent venue may be lost to us in future, the Water Sports Centre is becoming more popular for weddings (very lucrative for the Centre). This year, our usual 2nd weekend in September became the victim of a wedding, only discovered when Andy Scoonie McCue phoned to book himself an overnight bed. Thanks to Andy and Colin MacLean for getting this information out rapidly.

This means that Cairngorm Model Flying Club and looking around not only for a new regular flying field (there are plans to build Aviemore new town on our present flying field) but also an alternative waterplane event site.

Attendance was well down this year. The change of date did not help AND the SAA had arranged an EGM on the Saturday AND the forecast was strong wind, which materialised!! Regardless, there was plenty of flying.
